All criminal defense matters are covered on a two part flat fee basis. Our first "pre-trial" fee covers all background investigation, discovery review, and attempts to negotiate your case with the county or district attorney without the necessity of a trial. Our separate trial fee comes if we are unable to reach an agreement that you're satisfied with and you'd rather present your case to the judge or jury.
Example: A case with a pre-trial fee of $1,000.00 and a trial fee of $2,000.00 will have a total fee of $3,000.00.
At this time, Dalworth Legal does not represent defendants in Class C misdemeanor cases.
A class B misdemeanor is punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a fine of $2,000.00.
A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine of $4,000.00.
Note that the mandatory minimums may increase based on the facts of your case and criminal history.
Punishable by up to two years in state jail and a fine of $10,000.00, with a mandatory minimum of 180 days in state jail.
Punishable by up to ten years in prison and a fine of $10,000.00, with a mandatory minimum of two years in prison.
Punishable by up to twenty years in prison and a fine of $10,000, with a mandatory minimum of two years in prison.
Punishable by up to ninety-nine years in prison and a fine of $10,000.00, with a mandatory minimum of five years in prison.
We will review the record of your trial or plea deal for an initial case review fee. If there may be grounds for a successful appeal, we will discuss pricing options on a case-by-case basis.
If you were found not guilty of a crime or if you completed certain alternative sentencing programs, you may be eligible to have your record sealed from future employers, landlords, and other folks running background checks on you.
The cost to file the petition. This price does include court filing fees.
In very rare circumstances, the district attorney may request a hearing to determine if your record can be sealed. In this case, we will charge an additional flat fee for representation at that hearing.
All pricing is subject to attorney discretion and may be modified by a written agreement offered by Dalworth Legal, PLLC, to any potential client seeking to retain our services. These fees do not include any estimated court costs, fees for third-party experts, travel expenses, or other incidental fees that may accrue in your case.
