Dalworth Legal was founded through the Dallas Bar Association's Entrepreneurs in Community Lawyering program — designed to help lawyers start successful practices without bankrupting their clients. That founding idea never left.
What We Do
Dalworth Legal serves clients across the state of Texas in criminal law — defense against state or federal charges and criminal appeals — family law, including divorce, custody and support modification, adoption, and name changes, and estate planning and probate: valid Texas wills, living trusts, and powers of attorney.
We don't just focus on what looks good on paper or what arguments sound good in theory. The goal is practical, workable results you can be satisfied with long after your case is over — delivered in plain English, so you always understand your options, why we recommend what we recommend, and the likely outcomes for your situation.
How We Do It
The firm started in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex — hence the name — and has since migrated to the Austin area, still happily working with clients across Texas to deliver the results you want and the justice you deserve.
We keep legal services affordable by keeping up to date with the latest legal technology: AI-assisted research, checked for thoroughness and accuracy against a personal library of important laws and cases. All of it combines to give you an attorney able to deliver results faster and cheaper than a traditional firm.

Your Attorney
Taylor was born in Montana, but grew up in a small town between Austin and San Marcos — one of those once-small Texas towns whose unofficial slogan is “I remember when this was all fields.”
He received his degrees from two of the best universities in Texas: a bachelor's degree from U.T. Austin, and a law degree from the Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth. His experience in the legal field began in 2016 as an undergraduate legal assistant.
Early-career highlights include working as an immigration paralegal with Indeed — it was a very fun “tech company” office: pool tables, coffee bar, the whole nine yards — and interning with the Dallas County Public Defender's Office, where Taylor helped prepare defense cases for people facing capital punishment and felony convictions.
That experience shaped the firm's conviction: everyone deserves an attorney with the time to actually fight for them.
The Name
Dallas + Fort Worth. The firm was born in the metroplex, and carries the name with it — even now that home base is just south of Austin, with clients across all of Texas.
You'll always understand your options, why we recommend what we recommend, and the likely outcomes — in plain English, not Latin.
Flat fees published on this site down to the dollar, and zero-interest payment plans direct through the firm.
A solo firm means a personal relationship with your attorney — your case file won't be handed off to a nameless paralegal or backroom associate the minute your check clears.
We always advocate for reasonable negotiations with reasonable people. But when you're facing an ex or a prosecutor who refuses to be reasonable, we'll be behind you 100% of the way.
